Life with kids: an epigram
There are a number of Epigrams that ring true in daily life. Murphy’s Law is likely my favourite.
However there is a common theme in my house that I was unable to find a relevant epigram for, so I have written my own:
A seated parent is always an opportunity for play
My kids can be perfectly happy playing by themselves or with each other whilst I am doing endless chores & tidying up the mess created by their whirlwind. However, the moment my bum hits the sofa (usually with a coffee in hand) they will immediately stop what they’re doing and beg for my involvement in their fun.
Whilst I am appreciative that they do want to spend time with me, it sure is exhausting at times!
